Navigating the website

Haven't joined the website?   It is easy and safe to do. 

  • Just follow the instructions below and you will have full access to all the pages on the site!  
    • Click on Classmate Profiles - on the toolbar (to the left hand side of this page)
    • Find your name in the classmate list as it appears
    • Click on your name
    • Follow the instructions from the JOIN HERE wizard
  • If for some reason there is a problem getting into the site
    • immediately click on contact us and we will determine a solution to the situation.

 

Once you are in the site photos can be downloaded or saved to your computer.  Right click with your mouse and save image as a picture to your desktop or other directory. 

Also any screen can be enlarged by holding down the control key on your keyboard and touching the "+" key for enlarging each time to the desired size. 

If you would like to listen to some music while you are browsing go to the '74 trivia sources tab http://www.ahs1974.com/74-Trivia-Sources.htm and select some of the youtube recordings to play in the background open another tab for your browsing in the site at the same time.  (This is a temporary fix until we get the mp3 files loaded on the site.)

Proper-Sitting-Tips: 
 
Concentrate, if you will, right now, on your spinal column, feet flat on the floor, esp., both heels, making contact with the floor;  In a comfortable sitting position, from the head, shoulders back, - even weight distributed - balanced,, neck fully upright, jaw relaxed, stomach, pressing your belly button, backwards, slightly uplifted, to your spine................
 
 Remember to Breathe easily!
 
Nothing to it!  Right?
 
 Yet, often we all are guilty of slouching!  Yikes, poor posture habits, projecting a lazy personality!
 
 
Proper Posture Note: 
 
Pressing, squeezing, the stomach in & uplifting, the belly button, towards the spine, is an excellent habit to have, strengthening the Lumbar area, of the spine, which is susceptible to injury!
 
It does take practice!  But, only, perfect practice, makes perfect posture!
 
And, excellent posture, feels good & projects self confidence!

Health Benefits of Proper Sitting Technique:
 
- Boost circulation to the brain, heart & lungs, all organs
 
- Provides good circulation to legs, feet
 
- Allows for full lung capacity
 
- Improves digestion
 
- Promotes healthy elimination

- Restricts circulation
 
- Limits leg vitality
 
- Compresses bladder & kidneys

Note:  
Remember to stand up, increasing circulation, walk around, every `20 minutes or so!  And, remember to properly hydrate!
 
Medical Advisory:  As always, check with your medical team, before beginning an exercise program or a daily, prolonged sitting job or responsibility, requiring prolonged sitting!
